• What is the Gabb Phone 4 Pro?

  Gabb Phone 4 Pro is a flexible phone designed for teens that allows their device to grow with them through different bundle options. It is manufactured by Samsung and is the only Gabb® device that has options for parents to enable third-party apps for their kids and teens. Like other Gabb devices, it has no social media apps or internet browsers. It is equipped with Active GPS, 6.6-inch Infinity-V display, Quad Camera, and Li-Ion 5000 mAh non-removable battery.

• What does the Gabb Phone 4 Pro do?

  Gabb Phone 4 Pro enables teens to safely call and text and allows parents to enable the apps they need. The phone has all the normal features of a smartphone with no internet browser or social media apps. Protection is built into Gabb Messenger™ and Gabb Guard™ to prevent spam calls and stop potentially harmful content being shared in message content and video calls.

• What is the difference between the Gabb Phone and the Gabb Phone 4 Pro?

  In addition to the standard apps that come preloaded on Gabb Phone 4 Pro, the Advanced plan offers access to the library of parent-enabled third-party apps. Gabb has provided some helpful information on each app that helps parents understand some of the potential risks of each app in several key areas. Gabb Phone 4 Pro is a new, premium device with a more powerful camera, larger battery, and a larger, higher resolution screen. Gabb Phone 4 Pro offers a higher quality device with parent-managed contacts for texting through the Parent Messenger app, faster processing, and the ability to download parent-enabled third-party apps.

• Can I trade in my Gabb Phone (Z2), Gabb Phone Plus, Gabb Phone 3 Pro, or my Gabb Watch for a Gabb Phone 4 Pro?

  We do not have a trade-in program at this time. Customers can upgrade their device anytime. Log in to your Account, select Upgrade Device and choose your new device and plan. When your upgraded device arrives, set it up by visiting Activation.

• What age is the Gabb Phone 4 Pro for?

  Gabb Phone 4 Pro was designed with teens in mind. The recommended age is 13-18, but parents can decide when their child is ready. Because Gabb Phone 4 Pro can access third-party apps when enabled by a parent, some of these third-party apps have access to the internet. It's important to consider the readiness of your child and whether or not they're responsible enough for expanded access to certain third-party apps with potential internet browsing.

• Can the Gabb Phone 4 Pro connect to WiFi? Does it have internet access?

  Yes. Wifi is available to help with phone features, and parents can enable available third-party apps. Parents should be aware that enabling certain third-party apps can create the potential for access to internet browsers. Learn more about each app before enabling them on your account on gabb.com.

• Can I add the Gabb Phone 4 Pro to my family plan from my phone service provider?

  You cannot. Gabb is its own network.

• Does the Gabb Phone 4 Pro have GPS tracking?

  Yes. Gabb Phone 4 Pro utilizes GPS for Gabb Maps and features a GPS locator similar to "find my device," which is controlled by the parent's smartphone through the MyGabb™ App. Additionally, parents can establish "Safe Zones" to receive notifications when their child exits or enters specific areas. These zones can be configured within the MyGabb app.

• Can my child listen to music on the Gabb Phone 4 Pro?

  Yes. you may also listen to music through a Gabb Music® subscription. You can also connect your Gabb Phone 4 Pro to your computer and transfer MP3 music files.

• What are the camera specs for Gabb Phone 4 Pro?

  Gabb Phone 4 Pro comes with a wide-angle 50MP camera, an ultra-wide 5MP camera, a 2MP macro lens, and a 13MP front-facing or selfie camera.

• What are the dimensions of Gabb Phone 4 Pro?

• Is Gabb Phone 4 Pro waterproof?

  Gabb Phone 4 Pro is not waterproof and does not come with a water resistance rating. Avoid getting your device wet as this could void the warranty.

• Does Gabb Phone 4 Pro have parental controls?

  Yes. Gabb Phone 4 Pro parental controls can be changed in the MyGabb App. This includes setting up safe zones for location tracking.

  Additionally, in the Gabb Messenger Parent app (available on iOS and Android) you can configure who your child can text within the Gabb Messenger app, and receive alerts if potentially damaging content is sent or received by your child. Parents can either manually curate their contact list or allow them to manage them on their own.

  Parents can also choose to enable or disable third-party apps available in the Advanced plan for the Gabb Phone 4 Pro. All third-party app downloads are controlled by the parent — kids and teens cannot pick and choose their apps to download.

• Does Gabb offer different cases and screen protectors?

  Yes, Gabb Phone 4 Pro has available silicon slim-fit cases specifically designed for them. They come in a range of colors. Cases for other Gabb phones will not fit the Gabb Phone 4 Pro. Gorilla Glass screen protectors available to help keep your phone screen safe.

• How are contacts managed for Gabb Phone 4 Pro?

  Parents can download the Parent Messenger app for iOS or Android and manage their child’s contacts there. If you are not using the Parent Messenger app the contacts are managed on the device.

• Does the Gabb Phone 4 Pro have Bluetooth capabilities?

  Yes, all Gabb phones have Bluetooth capabilities..

• What standard apps does the Gabb Phone 4 Pro come with?

  Gabb Phone 4 Pro comes with several pre-installed utility apps including a photo gallery, calendar, notes app, clock, and calculator. Parents can choose to enable any of the third-party apps available on Gabb Phone 4 Pro. In addition, Gabb Messenger and Gabb Dialer come in place of the standard Android texting and phone apps. Gabb ID and MyGabb are used to pair the phone with the parental device. Gabb Music comes pre-installed but requires a subscription to access.

• How do I update my Gabb Phone 4 Pro software?

  Unlike Gabb Phone and Gabb Phone Plus, Gabb Phone 4 Pro automatically updates, and there is no customer procedure to check for software updates. We recommend connecting your phone to Wi-Fi whenever possible to ensure timely updates are received.

• What screen lock options are available on Gabb Phone 4 Pro?

  The phone can be locked using a PIN, swipe pattern, facial recognition, or fingerprint.

• What are the different slots on the SIM card holder?

  Gabb Phone 4 Pro comes with a different SIM card holder than our other devices. It has a slot for a MicroSD card to expand the internal storage capacity, as well as two SIM slots. Please leave the SIM in the original (center) slot.
